#12: Bob Cousy (1950–1963, 1969–1970)
Bob Cousy brought flash to a game still in black and white. He dazzled with behind-the-back passes and crafty dribbles in an era of set shots and slow pace. Cousy led the NBA in assists for eight straight seasons and won six championships with the Boston Celtics.

He made 13 All-Star teams and was league MVP in 1957. With Bill Russell anchoring the paint and Cousy running the break, the Celtics became a dynasty. He made the pass as exciting as the shot. Fans came to see him do the impossible, and Cousy rarely let them down.
