Not 1, Not 2, But 5!
There are lots of crazy facts about the praying mantis. For instance, it can turn its head a full 180 degrees. They also commonly host a species of horsehair worm that can grow up to 90 centimeters, roughly five times the length of the praying mantis. Also, praying mantises have five eyes.

Where are they, you ask? If you look closely, you’ll see three tiny dots in the middle of the insect’s head. The three eyes detect light while the two bulbous eyes on either side of its head detect motion and depth. Though the eyes don’t serve any crazy purposes, you’d never know they were there just by looking at a praying mantis.
