#21: A Ghost on Set?
One of the most persistent legends about The Wizard of Oz is that a ghostly figure can be seen in the background of the Tin Man’s forest scene. For years, viewers believed the shadowy movement in the trees was a spirit or even a tragic on-set incident caught on camera.

In reality, the figure was a large bird borrowed from the Los Angeles Zoo, placed on set to make the forest look more alive. The “ghost” myth grew over time as old film footage circulated online, but no supernatural event occurred during filming.
