#25: Fasting Twice a Month
Twice a month, devotees follow a fasting day called Ekadashi. Some avoid grains and beans, others eat only fruit, and a few fast completely. The goal is to give the body a rest and turn attention inward — toward prayer, chanting, and reflection.

Most people say the fast makes them feel lighter, clearer, and surprisingly energized. It becomes a kind of reset button that breaks up routine and brings a fresh mental state. Even beginners say Ekadashi feels more peaceful than demanding once they get used to it.
