#37: Billy Conn
Conn was a slick boxer with a warrior’s heart. Though known for speed and finesse, he had incredible toughness, battling larger men without fear. He endured punishing shots, pushed through injuries, and never stopped trying to win. Conn’s combination of skill and unshakable will made him a legendary figure.

In 1941, Conn fought heavyweight champion Joe Louis as a light heavyweight. After outboxing Louis for most of the fight, he bravely went for the knockout, taking huge risks despite Louis’ power. Louis stopped him in the 13th, but Conn’s fearless effort against a bigger monster showcased stunning toughness.
