#37: Walton Goggins – 2025 Thom Browne
Tailoring turned inside-out should look smart, not like a DIY art project. Walton Goggins’ Thom Browne ensemble—a pleated skirt, exposed seams, and a boxy sport coat—aimed for subversion, but landed in confusion. The yellow shirt and white gloves gave off a theatrical twist, yet there was no anchor for the eccentricity.

It felt more like a backstage rehearsal than a statement piece. Goggins relished the strangeness, but it read more Halloween prep school than avant-garde fashion. Daring? Sure. Directional? Not quite. The tailoring was there, just buried under excess and irony.
