#17: Peter Weller
In Peter Weller’s case, it would seem it’s less a question of alternating life paths and more of an already successful celebrity with too much time and money on his hands who then decides to find new ways to occupy himself. At least he found a pretty interesting way to do it.

It must be great to be able to get a PhD in something just because you’re interested in it, without any concern about the financial implications. And even better if that degree grants you the ability to put a whole new title on yourself, like Art Historian or Marine Biologist, even if it has no impact on your day-to-day profession.
